I’m sure by now most of you have heard of Lords of the Fallen and after the above video, I’m sure your interests are peaked. This game comes to us at an interesting time, given the huge success of the Souls series in the past few years.
More and more gamers are starting to embrace the challenges they face in games, instead of crying and quitting. That’s not to say people haven’t cried and destroyed their copy of Dark Souls, but the number of successful Dark Souls runs are increasing. Lords of the Fallen steps into the realm that has, to this point, been inhabited by the Souls series, alone.
Lords of the Fallen is an action RPG that boasts Dark Souls-esque boss fights and overall game difficulty as well. Unlike most fan boy shouts of game clones, the Soul’s fans are pretty welcoming of the game that promise a similar experience. I think this is the start of hardcore action RPGs becoming their own sub-genre.
We will have more on the game after its release on October 28th for next-gen systems as well as PC. All of us here will be watching this one very closely.
