Hey there, guys! Sorry I’ve been MIA for so long. Life happened and I now have a full time job, but since its a new year I’ll be trying my best to keep the site updated! And with that, let’s start.
Ever heard of an RPG called Dragon’s Dogma? No? Maybe one of your friends, you know, the really excitable one, told you about it a while back and you brushed it off because he is excited about everything. Well, I’m that friend and the excitement is back in full force! Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is finally coming to PC and it’s better than ever.
Dragon’s Dogma is an open-world Action RPG with monster hunting elements, party building, a class system with inner-twinned unlocks, and fantastic combat. You could even scale larger enemies! It released on the 360 and PS3 way back in 2012 – that’s the same year Black Ops II came out. Since then, ARPG fans that own PCs have been waiting for it to release on Steam. It had some glaring performance issues because of the action on screen and it wasn’t the best looking game in the world. It was obvious at the time that this game would have been more successful in the PC market, but the developers didn’t explore that market. The PC community had all but given up on seeing it come out.
Well folks, dreams do come true, because in just 4 days, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is releasing on Steam with a fresh coat of paint and a few tweaks to go along with it. For one, the game is currently locked at 120 FPS so expect combat to be silky smooth. You can now mute pawns which is a blessing because they tended to say the same thing over and over again. There are other minor tweaks like removing micro-transactions from the game and adding that currency into quest rewards.
I am a huge fan of the Dragon’s Dogma series and I will definitely be streaming this when it releases over at twitch.tv/pixelfaqcast , the site’s twitch channel. I hope to see you there, but if you miss it due to your own adventuring I completely understand.
I leave you with the release trailer for the game on PC. Enjoy!
Thank you for your continued support and if you enjoyed this, please share it with your friends! PixelFAQ is back!
